About Our Drama & Theatre Organizations

RBV has two drama clubs:

1. ITS (International Thespian Society), Troupe 4556. 
The International Thespian Society is the world's largest honor society for high school and middle school theatre students! RBV joined the society in 1988 and there are over 600 members in our troop alone, including several RBV teachers. Being part of ITS is no easy task. Initiation usually takes place in the spring semester. It is a fun and easy process. For more info, talk to the drama teacher/director.

2. BRAVO Club. BRAVO Club is RBV's drama club! You do not have to do anything to join BRAVO aside from stopping by to join us for theatre related fun!

ITS, Troupe 4556 & BRAVO Club meet each week for a combined meeting. Hosted in the drama room (room 412), our meetings are a fun mix of games, listening to music, hanging out, club event info and planning, and drama related info!

CALIFORNIA STATE THESPIAN FESTIVAL (ITS Festival)

Part of being a thespian can include going to the annual California State Thespian Festival. We lovingly call the festival, 'ITS'.
It's not a mandatory event, but it's a great experience.
While there you can:
  • Take workshops on Dance, Acting, Make up, Technical Theatre, the Business, etc. - you choose!
  • Submit performances to be judged and get feedback on! We call these Thespys. 
  • Meet other thespians from troupes all across California!
  • See performances by other schools and thespians!
  • This is an off-campus field trip, and it's a weekend event. So you get to have fun at a hotel with your friends!
  • Anyone can attend the festival, and ITS members receive a registration discount!
